How to play “BIG PIG” game
Set up

Number of players
BIG PIG is a game for between 2 and 4 players.

What you need
Two normal 6-sided dice numbered from 1 to 6, and something to control the score.

Rounds and turns
In BIG PIG players take turns going clockwise. In each round there will be a turn for each player.

Who’s first?
All players roll the two dice. Whoever gets the highest number will be the first. If there’s a tie, everyone rolls the dice again.
Goal of the game

Objective
The goal is to be the first player to reach 100 points.
BIG PIG rules: game development

First turn
The player whose turn it is rolls the two dice at the same time repeatedly and adds up the points obtained in each roll until one of these things happens:

The player decides to stop and keeps the points earned so far.

If he gets a 1 on one of the dice and a number other than 1 on the other (1-2, 1-3, 1-4…) he loses everything added in that turn, that is to say, he does not add anything in that turn to his global score. Just like in regular PIG with two dice.

If two 1’s are rolled, the player loses everything he has earned up to that moment in all previous turns, his global score remains at zero. This twist doesn’t exist in regular PIG with two dice, and it makes the game way more thrilling!

If he obtains any other double result (2-2, 3-3, 4-4…) the player adds twice the points obtained: 4-4 = 16 points, but he is obliged to roll again, he cannot stand on that turn, even if he is in the last round.

Next turns and rounds
The next player proceeds in the same way, and so on.

Update the score
It is important to update the scoreboard as the game progresses.
Game over – who takes the crown??

Game over
The game continues until, in some round, one of the players reaches 100 points, although that still does not make him the winner because all players must exercise their turn within that last round.

And the winner is…
The player with the most points at the end of the last round wins.
For example, if there are 4 players and this happens:
- Player 1: has 66 points after his turn.
- Player 2: has 106 points after his turn, this will be the last round! At the moment he is the winner.
- Player 3: gets 4-4 in his throw and by adding to his score the 16 points he has 110 points after his turn. At the moment he is the winner. But he is forced to throw again and now he gets 1-5 so he can’t add anything and he is left with 94 points again. So, for the moment, player 2 is still the winner.
- Player 4: he gets 3-3 on his throw and by adding the 12 points to his score he has 108 points after his turn. He’s winning for now, but he has to roll again… Maximum tension in the game. He rolls the dice and… What bad luck! He gets a 1-1. He loses EVERYTHING.
Player 2 is the winner!
