How to play JENGA
Set up

Players
Jenga is a game for 2 to 6 players, from 6 years old.

What you need to play
You need a Jenga game, logically.
Jenga includes 54 wooden blocks for building an 18-story tower. Three blocks per floor are placed alternating their orientation from storey to storey.

Turns
Jenga is played clockwise in turns.

Who’s first?
The initial turn goes to the youngest player.
Goal of the game

What do you need to do to win?
The objective in Jenga is to remove blocks from the tower and get to the top floor without the tower falling down.
JENGA rules: playing a game

Create the tower
Three blocks per floor are placed alternating their orientation from storey to storey. A mounting support is included in the kit in case it is needed.

This is what a JENGA shift looks like
The player whose turn it is performs three actions:
1 – REMOVE A BLOCK
Using only one hand, you must remove a block that is below the last complete floor (that still has all of its blocks).
2 – PLACE THE BLOCK
Then place that block on top of the tower.
3 – WAIT…
Now you have to wait 10 seconds. If the tower is still standing, it is the next player’s turn.

Rule 1 – Only one hand
It is not allowed to use any object as an aid to remove a block. Neither both hands at the same time nor any other part of the body, only one hand.

Rule 2 – The highest floor
It is not allowed to remove blocks from the top story.

Rule 3 – Always perpendicular
The blocks that are placed on top will always be placed perpendicular to the floor below, just as when building the tower.

Rule 4 – 3 pieces per floor
A new story cannot be created until the top story has been completed with its three blocks.

Rule 5 – Feel around
It is allowed to touch several parts to assess if they are free or bear too much load. It is not mandatory to take out the first piece that is played.
Game over – who takes the crown??

End of game
The game ends when a player makes a different block fall than the one he was trying to extract. It is not necessary for the entire tower to fall.

And the winner is…
The player who had the previous turn, the last one who was able to remove a block and put it on top, wins.
Tips for playing JENGA

Pushing instead of pulling
To affect the stability of the tower as little as possible, it is better to push the blocks out than to pull them.

Rotate blocks
Once you have managed to get a block to protrude from the tower you can rotate it as if it were a hinge to finish extracting it.
Buying guide and tips
You will find it in stores specialized in board games, although the best price and the best offers are usually on Amazon.
